Your healthcare provider will work with you to determine if SPRAVATO® should be taken with or without an oral antidepressant.

A Clear Dosing Schedule

For the first month, you’ll take SPRAVATO® twice per week, then once per week for the second month. After that, you and your provider will determine if treatment should be continued and will have the flexibility to decide your treatment frequency.

How is Spravato different from ketamine infusions?

Spravato is FDA-approved, administered intranasally, and must be given in a certified medical office. Ketamine infusions are intravenous and used “off-label” for depression. Both target similar brain pathways but follow different guidelines and safety protocols.

Is Spravato covered by insurance?

Most major insurance providers offer coverage for Spravato when medically appropriate. Our office helps confirm benefits and assists with any required authorizations.

How soon will I feel better?

Many patients report improvement within hours to days, though results vary. A full treatment plan involves an induction phase followed by maintenance sessions customized to your needs.

Are there side effects with Spravato?

The most common temporary side effects include dizziness, feeling detached, nausea, and increased blood pressure. These usually resolve the same day. Because of this, you cannot drive home after treatment.

What should I expect during a Spravato treatment session?

You will self-administer the nasal spray under clinical supervision. After dosing, you will relax in a comfortable, monitored environment for about two hours while our team ensures your safety and comfort.
